Paul, under direction of the Holy Spirit, writes in 1 Timothy 6: 20, 21; "O Timothy, guard what has been entrusted to you, avoiding worldly and empty chatter and the opposing arguments of what is falsely called "knowledge"--which some have professed and thus gone astray from the faith. Grace be with you."
We are to protect and stand firm in the truth of the gospel. The world constantly attacks the truth of God from outside, and also from within, the church. Paul, in his warning to Timothy, teaches us that we are never to sacrifice the truth of God by compromising it with the "knowledge" of this world.
"Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth." 2 Timothy 2:15.
Grace be with you all (Hebrews 13:25),
