Description: Height 19”, Weight, 6lbs. 2 ounces
Wanted for multiple counts of grandeur (that is making us all awe at how our Creator designed this little guy). Once in a while he is wanted for disturbing the peace (however all the elements of that section are not there as there is little peace and quiet around here to disturb).
Unique features: Quoting one Cassandra Elliott- “He is so cute… just look at him”.
Special instructions: Praise the Lord with us for the arrival of our 3rd son that the Lord made in His image. If you see this guy, you’ll want to grab him and place him in a modified control hold (AKA ‘bear hug’)… and that’s just what we want you to do!
Family and Friends, please join us in thanksgiving to our God as we announce the arrival of a marvelous blessing… a healthy baby boy. How can we take for granted a miracle? No way! We see the intricacies of His mighty, sovereign hand and how He intercedes with his love to our Family. Cassandra is doing great and the Spurgeon boy has been a joy and is eating good and gaining weight.
The following passage in Isaiah 49:1-3 may be a prophesy particular to Christ, but as much as we should seek with our whole hearts to emulate our Savior (being called Christians or ‘Little Christs’), this is our prayer for Spurgeon:
We pray that by God’s grace, he will proclaim this type of declaration at an early age:
“The Lord has called me from the womb; From the matrix of My mother He has made mention of my name. And He has made My mouth like a sharp sword; In the shadow of His hand He has hidden Me, and made Me a polished shaft; In His quiver He has hidden me.”
May He be glorified as we all seek to better serve Him and each other!
