Huckabee for President!

Back in June I entered a post supporting Mike Huckabee for President. In that post I stated that "I doubt that our nation, or the Republican Party for that matter, want a man like him as President". Well last night Iowa may have proved me wrong!
-
"The long-time governor of Arkansas and a former Southern Baptist pastor, Huckabee outdistanced the Republican field, maintaining a lead he gained in recent weeks over Mitt Romney despite being heavily outspent by the former Massachusetts governor. Huckabee achieved 34 percent of the GOP vote to Romney's 25 percent, with 96 percent of the state's 1,781 precincts reporting, according to The Des Moines (Iowa) Register." (source: BPNews)

Here is Mike Huckabee on the issues.
-
Also, here is a message that Mike gave a few years back called Landmarks. It lasts about 20 mins. and I think that it speaks to the character of this man.
-
Landmarks - Mike Huckabee

P.S.- By the way, have you seen the impact that the Chuck Norris endorsement has had on Mike?

(I couldn't resist. LOL!)

P.S.S. - I want to make something clear, though. I do not think that this country will ever be fixed by political means. In fact, I know that our world will only continue to decline until Christ returns. (Yes, I'm premillennial in my eschatology. But only because the Bible is and the ongoing events of this world confirm it. -I'm sure that will rub some of you the wrong way. LOL!)

That being said, I cannot in good conscience, cast a vote for anyone that is opposed to the revealed will of God. Nor, can I simply withhold my voice by abstaining. As a Christian, I am compelled to stand for truth. That includes supporting those in government who also stand for truth. All the while knowing, and finding comfort in the fact, that my Lord is sovereign over all. Including our electoral process and the events that proceed from it. Regardless of those that are placed into positions of leadership. They can either honor Him in their governance and be rewarded, or they can dishonor Him and receive their just deserts. The plan of God, however, will not be frustrated (Pro. 16:4).
